I was skeptical coming across the place in the dark but once I met the owner Ross I felt at ease. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Its outdated but that didnt matter. I didnt regret my stay. Ross even gave us juice and muffins with our stay!
On our way home from Duncan Lake we stopped at a very unique antique place in latchford along side the Northland motel. Ross burns the owner was more then helpful to accommodate us, we found some great stuff to take home . Once we got home the next day we realized my boyfriend forgot his wallet , we called to check and sure enough he had the wallet and kept it safe . Long story short we ended up driving back up to get his wallet that was fully intact. We can’t thank him enough , we need more good people like him. So thank you again your an amazing human being! Looked like a motel from those horror movies :) until we met the owner :):). Has a neat 'museum ' of all sorts of items. (Collectors dream) if your ever in the area make sure to stop and check it out:)
Was stuck in a snow storm looking for a place to pull over for a bit when I found the northland motel! Close to 1 in the morning and I called to see if I could get a room. Really great price, but I think the best part of finding this motel was being greeted by the owner. He was kind, caring, and very cheerful. Happy to get to rest up and be ready for the rest of my drive in the morning :)
